Great Ocean Road — Melbourne to Adelaide
One of the world's great coastal drives and Australia's most famous motorcycle route. The Great Ocean Road was built by returned soldiers after World War I and is dedicated to those who served — it's both a stunning road and a moving memorial. The Twelve Apostles limestone stacks rising from the Southern Ocean are among Australia's most iconic sights. The road passes through Great Otway National Park, the famous surfing towns of Torquay and Bells Beach, Port Campbell National Park and the Shipwreck Coast before continuing to Adelaide. Allow 3-4 days minimum — there's too much to see to rush.
